PROJECT : This pavilion was designed by 3master students and 1 researcher student of Kengo Kuma Laboratory( University of Tokyo). I join this project when I was a researcher student in a Kengo Kuma laboratory. A project was started in January 2015 and was built in March 2015. This pavilion was designed for display in expo pavilion in Dundee city England.

 

DESIGN :  In this pavilion design, we adopted a log stacking system for this pavilion. A local pine tree was used as the main material. A metal structure was also used for support a log structure. On a top of the pavilion, we use a transparent material for getting sunlight into interior space and also connect an inside and outside together.
